Meet the Charleston Family Planning Center staff

Taylor Chamberlain, DNP, APRN, CNM, WHNP-BC

Taylor is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at the Charleston Family Planning Center (CFPC). She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in 2023. She also has a Master of Science in Nursing from UIC and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining CFPC, she has experience as a Registered Nurse in labor & delivery and mother/baby settings, and as an instructor with UIC College of Nursing. Raised in East Central Illinois, Taylor has a passion for rural health and providing accessible reproductive healthcare in downstate Illinois.

Andrea Harp

Kyla Ohm

Kyla has been in healthcare for several years. She attended Lakeland College where she graduated with and Associates Degree in Medical Assisting and received her Medical Assistant certificate from the NHA. Kyla has a passion for reproductive health in this area, having been a young mother herself, she values helping others find the resources they need.

Cathy Hinton, Certified Nurse Midwife

Cathy has worked in obstetrics and women’s healthcare for the past 28 years. She loves being able to support women and establish relationships with them and their families over the years.

When she is not working, Cathy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, listening to music and being active.


Cathy Wages, Certified Medical Assistant

Cathy has worked for many years in healthcare as a CNA.  She graduated in 2016 from Midwest Technical Institute as a Medical Assistant.  She received her Certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants.
